South Pacific Mini Games

The Blanco y Negro team has just returned from Norfolk Island, where the South Pacific Mini Games were held from the 3rd till the 14th of December. A total of 20 countries from the region took part in what was proclaimed to be the best ever Mini Games, There was a fantastic feeling of good spirited competition during the games and the party atmosphere carried on till the wee small hours on several occasions. Many thanks have to go to the tireless organisers and volunteers, without which the games would have not been possible, the facilities for all events were absolutely first rate, In particular the Athletics track which was sensationally quick for a grass track.

We covered the event via the official website www.norfolkisland.com.au with daily Photo and video updates, individual results and medal tally’s were also updated on a daily basis. Covering an event with as many as 10 events running concurrently required the team to be extremely organised in order to capture all the action. A compilation of the best images and video is being prepared for each participating nation so they can relive the games at their leisure.

The team was also involved in creating a new image for Norfolk Island, The results of which can be seen on the official Norfolk Island website soon.
